Community Groups
The Spring Community Group session is underway. The current groups are listed below. We are planning a Fall session and there might be a Summer session. Watch this page for signups when the next session gets going.
Community Groups are regular gatherings that are smaller than the Sunday morning worship services. They are a way to CONNECT with God and with each other, GROW as christians, and positively IMPACT the world we live in.
Digging Deeper
Led by Tony & Marie Kusy and Whit & Jen Shiller
Meets Sunday 6-8pm; (2 weeks on; 1 off) in Wauwatosa
Description: Sunday’s teaching is often thought-provoking. What did Pastor Dave mean? How does that relate to my understanding of the Word and what I’m living now? We will “dig deeper” through prayer, questioning and discussion about the Sunday Morning Sermon, seeking to apply it to our lives.
If you’re going to walk on water…A Remarkable Life of Faith
Led by John Kegel and Bill & Sue Kusnierz
Meets every other Wednesday; 7-8:30pm in New Berlin
Description: Far too many of us have put our faith in a casual Christianity that never compels us to leave our comfort zones. But, deep within our hearts we know that Christ has not called us to a life of comfort, but to an exciting, sacrificial and overwhelmingly fulfilling faith. This book teaches us how to step out of the "boat" of casual Christianity so that we can faithfully follow the Lord. Galatians: Defending the Pure Gospel

Meets Thursdays from 6:45-8:15pm (2 weeks on; 1 off) at Woodridge
Description: Are you longing to dig deeper into the Word of God so that you may understand the Gospel and live more authentically as a Christian? Do you long to connect intimately with other Christians? We may desire to live as Christians yet be so influenced by our culture that we’re at risk of being deceived and even end up apathetic to truth. The required materials are a Bible and a heart that desires God. This study is open to newcomers.
Old Testament Challenge (Psalms to Malachi)
Led by Ed McIlveen
Meets Sunday; 9am at Woodridge
Description: We will focus on reading through the Psalms to Malachi in 8 weeks. You will be supported, encouraged, and prayed for as you spend an intensive time reading a meaningful amount of scripture. Group time will be centered on key stories, concepts of the books read in the week, and your prayer requests.
Connecting to Serve
Led by Adam & Rachel Stuber and Mark & Jean Martinez
Meets Thursdays; 7–8:30pm in New Berlin
Description: Using the Seeing & Savoring Jesus Christ DVD series and companion study guide by John Piper we will learn to recognize Christ for who He is and delight in Him and the truth of the gospel. As a group we will be committed to going beyond the traditional study. We want to connect in real ways and be involved in service.
Letters from Peter the Apostle
Led by John Pfannerstill and Terry Krause
Meets every other Wednesday; 7-8:30pm in Menomonee Falls
Description: In this group we will do a survey of Peter's two epistles, studying roughly one chapter per week. Just bring your Bible, a pen and a notebook, and together we will work our way through the Biblical text.

Description: In this brief letter you will find one of the most detailed yet concise descriptions of the gospel. Peter is in a Roman jail awaiting his trial and execution. 8 Choices that will Change a Woman’s Life by Jill Briscoe

Brave Enough to Follow by Stuart Briscoe

Description: Using the gospel account of Simon Peter and his interactions with the Master. Jesus saw Peter's tremendous potential and used hish talents, boldness, even his mistakes, to build his church. But to become everything he was meant to be, he had to leave his fishing nets behind and follow Christ.

Forgotten God: Reversing Our Tragic Neglect of the Holy Spirit

Description: A follow up to message of Crazy Love, Pastor Francis Chan offers a compelling invitation to understand, embrace, and follow the Holy Spirit's direction in our lives. We pray in the name of all three (Father, Son, & Holy Spirit), but how often do we live with an awareness of only the first two? Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit so that we could be authentic living witnesses for Christ. Chan contends that we've ignored the Spirit for far too long.

HopeKeepers

Meets the 3rd Sunday of each month; 12:00 to 1:30pm at Woodridge
Description: HopeKeepers is a Christian based support group for men and women who struggle with chronic illness and pain. Our mission statement comes from 2 Corinthians 1:3b-4. "... the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in our troubles, so that we may comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God". What’s shared in the group is confidential. There is no need to sign up—just join us!
